How to Choose Your First 10 Villagers

The original New Leaf features 333 villagers in total, while the Welcome amiibo update adds 50 more, bringing the grand total to 383. With so many villagers to choose from, it can be tough to decide which ones you want to live on your island. Here are a few tips to help you narrow down your choices:

1. Consider your playstyle. Do you prefer to focus on collecting bugs and fish, or do you enjoy building and decorating your home? Different villagers have different interests, so it's important to choose ones that will complement your playstyle.
2. Think about your personality. Do you prefer villagers who are outgoing and friendly, or do you prefer those who are more shy and reserved? There's a villager out there for everyone, so take some time to think about what kind of personality you're looking for.
3. Look at the villager's appearance. Some villagers are cute and cuddly, while others are more edgy and cool. It's important to choose villagers that you visually appealing, as you'll be seeing them a lot.
