Little League International has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Sean Burroughs, a two-time Little League World Series champion and former Major League Baseball player.
Burroughs led the Red Land Little League team from Lewisberry, Pennsylvania to championships in 1993 and 1994. He also won an Olympic gold medal with the USA Baseball team in 2000.
Burroughs was drafted first overall by the San Diego Padres in 1998 and went on to play for several MLB teams, including the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays.
