Harrison Butker signs contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs

Chiefs kicker to earn $20.275 million over five years

Butker's new deal includes a $4.18 million signing bonus and a $3.945 million base salary in 2024

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed kicker Harrison Butker to a five-year contract extension worth $20.275 million, the team announced on Tuesday.

Butker's new deal includes a $4.18 million signing bonus and a $3.945 million base salary in 2024. He will also receive a workout bonus of $50,000 in 2024.

Butker, 27, is entering his sixth season with the Chiefs. He has been one of the most consistent kickers in the NFL since entering the league in 2017, making 88.5% of his field goal attempts and 95.6% of his extra point attempts.

Butker's new contract extension comes as the Chiefs are looking to rebound from a disappointing 2022 season. The Chiefs finished 12-5 and lost in the AFC Championship Game to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Butker's consistency will be a key part of the Chiefs' success in 2023. He is one of the best kickers in the NFL and his new contract extension shows that the Chiefs believe he is a key part of their future.
