Chiellini set to retire from international football

Giorgio Chiellini has announced that he will retire from international football after Italy's upcoming Nations League matches against England and Hungary. The 37-year-old defender has been a mainstay in the Italian defence for over a decade, making 116 appearances for his country. He was a key member of the team that won the 2020 European Championship, and he played every minute of Italy's campaign at the 2022 World Cup. Chiellini's retirement from international football will mark the end of an era for Italy, as he is one of the last remaining players from the team that won the 2006 World Cup.

Chiellini's decision to retire from international football comes as no surprise, as he has been struggling with injuries in recent years. He missed most of the 2021-22 season with a knee injury, and he has only made a handful of appearances for Juventus this season. Chiellini's retirement will give younger players a chance to step up and take on leadership roles in the Italian defence. Alessandro Bastoni, Gianluca Mancini, and Nicolo Barella are among the players who could be in line to replace Chiellini in the starting lineup.

Juventus move up to fifth in Serie A

Juventus moved up to fifth in Serie A with a 2-0 win over Lazio on Saturday. Goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Moise Kean secured the victory for the Bianconeri, who have now won four of their last five league games. Juventus are still 10 points behind leaders Napoli, but they have closed the gap to the Champions League places. The Bianconeri are now just four points behind fourth-placed AC Milan, and they have a game in hand on their rivals.

Juventus' victory over Lazio was a much-needed boost for the team, who had lost their previous two league games. The Bianconeri were dominant throughout the match, and they created several chances to score. Vlahovic opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a clinical finish, and Kean added a second goal in the 51st minute. Juventus could have won by a bigger margin, but they were wasteful in front of goal. The Bianconeri will be hoping to continue their good form when they face Fiorentina in their next Serie A game.

Pogba likely to miss rest of the season

Paul Pogba is likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, according to reports. The French midfielder has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in training in September. He underwent surgery in January, and he was expected to be out for around four months. However, it is now believed that Pogba will not be able to return to action until the end of the season. This is a major blow for Juventus, as Pogba is one of their key players. The Bianconeri have struggled in his absence, and they will now have to find a way to replace him in the starting lineup.

Pogba's injury is also a blow for France, as he is one of the team's most important players. The French midfielder played a key role in France's victory at the 2018 World Cup, and he is expected to be a key player for Les Bleus at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. However, Pogba's injury could now put his participation in the World Cup in doubt. The French midfielder will be hoping to recover in time for the World Cup, but it is too early to say whether he will be fit enough to play.
