Two More Surprise Starters Land on Vikings Injury Report

Vikings Standouts Join Growing Number of Injured Starters

The Minnesota Vikings have been hit with more injuries heading into their Week 10 matchup with the Washington Commanders.

Starting cornerback Cameron Dantzler and linebacker Jordan Hicks were both added to the injury report on Saturday with non-specified injuries, the team announced.

Both players were full participants in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but were limited on Friday.

Dantzler, Hicks Join Growing List of Injured Vikings

Dantzler and Hicks join a growing list of injured Vikings starters.

  • Quarterback Kirk Cousins (concussion)
  • Running back Dalvin Cook (ankle)
  • Wide receiver Justin Jefferson (calf)
  • Tight end Irv Smith Jr. (ankle)
  • Left guard Ezra Cleveland (ankle)
  • Right tackle Brian O'Neill (calf)

The Vikings are already thin at cornerback and linebacker, so the injuries to Dantzler and Hicks are a major blow.

Mike Hughes is expected to start in place of Dantzler, while Troy Dye and Eric Kendricks are expected to start at linebacker.

Vikings Face Commanders in Week 10

The Vikings will face the Commanders in Week 10 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Commanders are 4-5 this season and are coming off a bye week.
